The making of:
Figure 1 is the original after a little bit of cropping. Nothing worth showing.
In figure 2 quite drastic adjustments of the tone curve have been applied: exposure + 2.7, contrast -95, highlights -100, whites -100, blacks -92. I don’t think there is much logic behind these adjustments. Possibly a similar result may be obtained in a very different way. It is a matter of tuning tone and contrast to your liking.
In figure 3 the apparent texture is completely changed by clarity (-55) and detail (luminance noise +100) adjustments. With these drastic adjustments a painterly look is emerging.
Finally some slight changes in hue and saturation (green) have been applied, a lot of vibrance added (+100) and local adjustments for adding a touch of blue in the highlights and for reducing saturation in some of the darker greens. Figure 4.
Still nothing very special, but I thought it has a more interresting flavor now.
