It was a gorgeous weekend for trout lilies. I was out as well capturing a few.
Try getting down to their level so that the photo is less an observation and more if an interaction (e.g.

I find this"observation" to be wonderful. The softness of the light is very appealing and contrasts with the graininess of the image. I can almost feel the crunch of the leaves under foot. Well done.
