Iridient 2.4.3
« on: July 24, 2014, 12:44:32 am »

I was very pleased with the way it opened my FUJI RAF file that I use to test Raw Developers. It supports the camera profile and removes all lens problems. It's easy to use and the UI is very legible and light grey background satisfies my objection to dark UIs. This week it started crashing on the same type of RAF and the developer was able to replicate, so there will be a newer version in the next week or so. This has not dimmed my enthusiasm. He fixed another problem I had a couple months ago very quickly. He mentioned parenthetically that he uses an entirely different method than Apple's Raw Developer. I believe he is a member here.

Indeed, it offers what must be the best combination of noise reduction and capture sharpening options among raw converters.

It would be one of software I would miss if I had to move away from OSX.

Cheers,
Bernard

V. 2.4.4 with reported fix is already available.  Now that's my kind of development cycle.

Brian emailed me:

Iridient Developer 2.4.4 is now available for download:
http://www.iridientdigital.com/products/rawdeveloper_download.html

This update adds RAW support for the Samsung NX3000 and also includes support for automatic lens corrections based on RAW image lens metadata for all Samsung NX mirrorless models. This update has several important bug fixes including a fix for an issue just introduced in the prior 2.4.3 update with some NEF format images (12 bit/ch uncompressed) from older Nikon models, a fix for properly embedding the ICC output profile in JPEG exports and a fix for potential crashes with some EXR HR mode images from the Fujifilm F600EXR.
