HELP! Just got the Epson 4900, questions about driver setup and baryta paper !

Hello,

I just received my brand new Epson 4900 yesterday.

I've been setting it up - loaded and installed the roll og Harman baryta gloss I bought together with the printer.
 
I have installed the correct ICC profiles, but the printer driver itself was more complicated than I foresaw. I have a few questions about which settings are best:

 In "media settings" under the tab "media type" I can choose between a lot of different Epson papers. My Harman paper obviously isn't there. What would be the closest equivalent?

 I can also choose a paper type on the printer itself. Does this override the choice in the driver? Should I select the same on both? So far I chose "custom paper" on the printer itself, and Epson Premium Glossy in the driver.

 There is a paper configuration button in the driver. Here I can set "color density", "drying time" (and there are a couple more options as well), and "platen gap" and "roll paper back tension" under paper thickness. Anything I should touch here?

Hahnemuhle recommends the Luster media setting in their handling instructions, so presumably that was what they used when generating their profile. I build my own profiles for my 3880 and have chosen the Glossy setting instead, YMMV. Choose the Harman profile under Printer Profile.

My paper configuration settings are "wide" for platen gap and "4" for paper thickness (may be different options for the 4900).

Drying time per head pass seems more of a personal choice, I prefer to bump it up a bit to allow the ink to settle on the paper before another head pass, this does lengthen the printing time however.

I can't help with the roll tension setting as I don't print to rolls, perhaps others here can suggest a setting.

I'm running my first test prints as I write this.

But I can already tell the colors are quite a bit off.

I suspect I'm confusing the color management settings somehow.
In Lightroom, I have chosen a specific paper profile - but should I choose "managed by printer" instead?
I can't see anywhere to chose an ICC paper profile in the printer driver itself, that's way I let Lightroom do it.

I have chosen a color space (Adobe RGB) in the printer driver, is this correct?

No...in the driver you must select No Color Management if you are having Lightroom do the color management.

I turned off the color management in the printer driver completely as you suggested, and now that Lightroom uses a dedicated paper profile ICC, prints look much better!

I'm still not completely satisfied, my prints are a bit cold (lacking in yellow/red) - but much better.
