"Nikon didn’t seem to share Canon’s perception that the Japanese market had been neglected too long. The D40 had been due for a replacement for a few months now, but photographically speaking nothing new was shown by Nikon at the PIE besides impressive D3x art reproduction prints."

Anyone know how large these prints were, whether they were stitched, etc?

That link shows a fine, example of what Bernard refers to in another thread as "an ancient art called stitching", complete with the practice of using vertical frames so that only horizontal stitches are needed.

Yep, there was another one too in fact. I don't know if they were individual images of each of the part of the painting, or stitched and then split... I should have asked the Nikon folks but didn't.
