Nikon D300 price drop?

Just noticed an ad in the local newspaper from a locally respected camera chain that had a $100 price drop in the D300 body. Are we already seeing a glut of these on the market?

Dunno.  But with the insane number of new DSLR's released at or around PMA they might feel the need to drop the price a little.  (Get it closer to the E-3.)  I wonder if the 40D (being a ton cheaper) is having an impact.  I mean I paid $1119 for my 40D.  That's just a bit of a discount.
