Canon 6D Mark II does not like adapted lenses
« on: February 28, 2026, 10:12:41 am »

I do not know if I post in the right place ; if not maybe someone will indicate the right one ; thank you
a few days back I got a brand new Canon 6D Mark II
I think it is worth mentioning that for the last fifteen years I shot only the 5D Mk I Classic and
I did RTFM three times over
I set an eight elements Super Tak + chipped adapter on the 6D II in Aperture priority
1- no focus points in viewer
2- only sounds
3- beeps "right " so I think I acquired focus
4- pressed the shutter
5- click said the camera and after about seventeen seconds said click again
6- light was good
7- upped ISO at 12000 and something ( I think )
8- tried again
8- "acquired " focus by beep only
9- blurry photo and hold on , underexposed !

what did I do wrong ?
what have I to do in order to use my adapted lenses , Leica R , M42's and C/Y
with the 5D I have only a nifty/fifty 1.8 II
with the 6D another nifty but f1.4 which is incredibly soft ( or is it my brand new copy ? )
