I am giving away (i.e. no money) an Epson SC-P5000 printer. It is a bit over 8 years old and has printed something over 6900 sq.ft. of image coverage, which is not that much for this model. The main reason I'm giving it away is that it needs some maintenance and I have an SC-P5370 so it's not worth my while to keep it. The green channel shows persistent moving clogs in nozzle checks regardless of cleanings. This suggests the possibility that the printer needs a new pump/cap station, or the more remote possibility it is the beginning of head failure. Also it is not now being used so it will need a complete power clean of all channels when it restarts, which will consume about 70ml of ink. it comes with whatever ink remains in the system now, plus one unopened Matte Black cartridge worth CA$163 plus HST in Canada. It will immediately need a new VLM cartridge to clean that channel because it is clogged and the remaining VLM is inadequate to clean it. I am offering the printer as is with no warranties whatsoever. It is available for pick-up in mid-town Toronto. It weighs 115 pounds and it's bulky so two people will be needed to collect it; I cannot be one of them. It goes to first come, first served. Please DM me if interested. Note: I do not recommend this printer unless you will be printing frequently or using it for parts. That said, for this model usually when nozzles clog they are easily restored with one Normal cleaning cycle applied to the specific channel pair.
