fire canon speedlight flash from Sekonic L-358 flash meter

I'v seen photographers fire a Canon speedlight from a Sekonic L-358 flash meter to measure the exposure, but don't know how to do this myself.

For safety reasons I want to use a wireless connection, as there are people moving around in the location.

How do I set this up?
