PhotoPXL, members, that site & merger of content into LuLa
« on: September 16, 2025, 02:24:42 pm »

As an FYI for those who were paid members of PhotoPXL, please be sure to contact customer service at Luminous Landscape to ask for a membership here should you not already have one. LuLa has a relatively recent list of paid members to confirm your request (or PM me here and I will try to help)

All the content of PhotoPXL (with the exception of the PhotoPXL Forum) has been transferred to LuLa.

The PhotoPXL site will go dark at the end of September.

Should you have any interest in the threads on that forum, I would suggest that you save the various web pages of those threads as PDFs for your use.

It feels good to be back.

Hi Chris,
It looks like in one of my old PhotoPXL articles some image files have been mixed (with images that are not mine).  Maybe name/duplication in the system?

I had done a quick check a while ago to see if one of my old (2020) Silo City articles had made the transfer.
https://luminous-landscape.com/silo-city-reflections/

It did but I didn't scroll through it until today when I found a couple of images that are not mine.  Circles is a photo of a peacock, definitely not mine and nothing to do with the article of course.  The same with #20 further down, of the cat preening against the 69 sign.

I wonder if other old articles might have random images that don't belong?

PS.  If you find the cause and can fix it that's great.  If you need me to supply the correct images to upload again (or even the whole article) please let me know.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,
While I have no control of any content, I will make sure that Jon Swindall is aware of the issue. I suspect that the problem is duplicate file names and likely affects other posts.
