I have been out of this game for 4 years or so, just other things and family (elderly parents) so now back in. In the interim my dedicated photo computer died, but I'm now back up and running with a new rig. I wish I kept better notes before all this. Here is my current workflow, and you should know I am mostly wanted to do very nice BW prints on my Epson SC800.
Take RAW file
Process in DxO Pure Raw and put back in LR in it's DxO folder
Export to Silver Efex latest version
Convert to BW
Send back to LR
Use Develop with soft proofing
Print

Is there anything inherently wrong with my workflow here?
Is it wrong to sharpen AT ALL after DxO?
My monitor is calibrated as is my printer, but on the screen after Silver Efex or in print preview (in LR), I'm seeing a lot of color cast (blue and magenta) but this doesn't come out on the final print. What is that all about? I have a NEC Multisync LCD 2490WUXi
I know in the past I had QTR but I'm trying to make my workflow simpler, in the past I spent more time analyzing and suffered from paralysis by analysis. I'm tired of playing and I want to nail down a process and print some of the many thousands of landscapes I have.
I use Spyder to profile my printer and so far (as in the past) the results are fine for my needs.
