Selling my 3 year old Canon pro-4100 44" giclée and photography printer. $490 OBO
This is in Ventura Ca, just thought I would see if there was any interest as I'm having a 4600 delivered this week.
Amazing archival quality prints! It's never moved and has been in the same room since installed new in sept 2021.
It has a few issues but still makes beautiful prints which is why it's priced so low:
1) needs a new printhead (Canon pf-10). This is a normal consumable that typically lasts a few years depending on how much you print. the cost is $400-700
2) it will need a new maintenance tank soon, also normal replacement– $100 or you can clean it out.
3) It has an issue where the end of the paper roll spool holder (that holds the paper) sometimes doesnt mate properly with the gear that holds it and it causes a paper jam sometimes. The problem seems to get worse over time and damages the little plastic gear on the end of the spool holder. I bought a new paper spool holder which fixed the issue for awhile but it seems to be damaging the new one as well so I think a repair person needs to have a look at it – or if you're handy you could open that area and have a look. I have the service manual if you're interested.
If interested you would need to pick it up in Ventura California with a van or truck. I think it weights about 300 pounds total but can be removed from the stand as well. It needs to be kept upright and not knock around.
