Why is B&H so much cheaper on Canon Ink?

It seems like over the years that I've purchased Canon Ink for my IPF 8300 all the suppliers have had the same retail price. I've always picked the supplier with the closest warehouse for faster shipping times. Last week I ordered an ink cartridge and noticed after the fact that the price had gone up $30 from my previous order. I checked several other suppliers and they all had the same higher price. I decided to see what price B&H listed and they were $57 less than the new price! I'm wondering since parts and service have now been discontinued on the 8400 (same inks as my 8300) if B&H no longer has to sell at the suggested "retail price"?

A quick follow up. I decided to order another ink cartridge, but this time from B&H. The price on this cartridge was the old retail price ($193), so still a savings over the new price. A quick check on several of the other colors and they are all a different price! The new retail price seems to be $222 and the B&H price is anywhere from $156 - $193 per ink. Maybe they are cleaning out stock?
