Getting Yellow Horizontal banding outside the image area

Greetings!


I first noticed these regular yellow horizontal lines which run from outside the image area. I first thought it may be an Illustrator issue. But I'm getting the same from Photoshop and lightroom. My Nozzle checks look pretty good. Just ran a C1 on the yellow with no improvement.

What would cause the printer to print these lines OUTSIDE the image area. My Googling only finds people with banding inside the image area.

Any thoughts?

My Nozzle checks look pretty good. Except for the yellow lines across the bottom of the NC and below the text details. I can't tell you what it is, but it sure looks wrong to me.

You didn't say if this problem occurs with any image you tried, or only with this image.    Since the yellow lines appear in the nozzle check, I'm assuming it's an "any image" problem.
But no, your nozzle check does not look good.
You have two yellow lines across the check, one at the bottom of the columns, and one below the text.    These should not exist.   Additionally, there are missing nozzles in the Cyan, Light Light Black, and Yellow columns.   I assume the faint dingy colors below the columns are on the other side of the (previously used) paper and were not generated during the nozzle check; otherwise, these are also a problem.
The missing (likely blocked) nozzles will most likely return after head cleaning(s), unless those nozzles have actually died.   The fixed yellow (or any color) lines are a problem I've not encountered or seen posted before, but that nozzle is clearly not blocked.   
My approach would be to:
  1.  see if head cleaning resolves the missing nozzles; I wouldn't expect the yellow line to resolve, but one can always hope
  2.  if it's available in the printer menu, do a software "reset"; this would not clear the blocked nozzles, but might resolve the yellow line
  3.  make sure the printer has the most recent software update, in case that resolves the yellow line
If these don't resolve your problem, you may be looking at a new head.

Sometime after a regular cleaning and restarting the printer, the lines went away. I think it was driver or firmware related. Thanks!
