I am an experienced printer and very knowledgable about color management and printing. My technique for years has been: keep my NEC PA 302W calibrated, use ICC profiles and soft proof, do not let the printer manage, then print via Lightroom and my Mac Studio using OS Sonoma, 14.1. Prior to this week, I have been able to get the print luminance and contrast just where I want it 80% of the time on the first go around. I have been doing a project and have printed about 60 test prints on letter sized luster paper. The prints are too dark, by at least a stop and maybe two stops. My monitor is calibrated to 80 cd/m2 and has been so for years.The monitor has logged about 6000 hours of use. A nozzle check is normal.The print colors are fine, the only issue is the darkness.
