Reaching

The third in a series of watercolor-rendered photographs taken several years ago while sailing on Chesapeake Bay. Here a sailor singlehands his sloop, enjoying a refreshing breeze that fills his sails as his boat reaches on.

FYI: "Reaching" is a point of sail where the sails generate lift to power the sailboat; probably a broad or beam reach in this case.
