VTS tower - Lisbon
« on: February 04, 2019, 05:37:34 am »

This a relatively recent building (2001) which is located in Alges, Lisbon. The tower hosts the Control for Maritime Traffic, at the mouth of the Tejo estuary.

There is a small pontoon at the Alges beach that makes a nice photography point at sunset. Last Saturday I decided to go there, because there was some weather (storm Helena). My daughter provided some needed rain protection with her umbrella:)

Regards.

A nice location (with the sun strategically positioned for sunsets) and excellent shots!
Well done.

I prefer the third one with the longer exposure, but seeing the angular design of that Maritime Traffic building leaning out from the shore, sure does make me think that all these images look as though they have lots of lens distortion, which of course they haven't, as it is just the design of that building.

Very interesting shots Paulo  :)

That was my first thought when I saw the "leaning" tower!

Looking at the sequence, I couldn't help looking to see if the tower was tilting further in each shot, about to fall over.

I like #3 best. I wonder how the balance would work if you had stepped a little right, sending the pier a little left.
