Photoshop CS2 "special" upgrade pricing
« on: February 25, 2007, 08:22:14 pm »

I'm looking to upgrade from Elements to CS2 relatively soon. Since I moved to Vista, I've found Elements 3.0 has a few "glitches", and I don't think I can wait for CS3 since I need to get going on some photo editing.

Anyway, I thought I remember hearing about a special upgrade price ($300) for CS2 some time back, and if memory serves, the offer came with the Canon 20D (which was bundled with Elements 2.0). I bought a 20D about a year and a half ago, and don't remember seeing such an offer. (I also didn't install the Elements that came with it, since I already had Elements 3.0.) Does anyone know of this offer? If at all possible, I'd like to take advantage of it if it's still available. Otherwise, the "standard" upgrade deal from Elements to CS2 is $500, which isn't that great of a deal.

OK, I called and pointed them to a page on their website about Canon 20D customers getting the special $300 price (found by doing a Google search). Although they said the offer expired yesterday (figures), they decided to give me the price anyway (since the website page didn't mention any expiration date). Yeah! And I'll have to give Adobe a big thumbs up for honoring the deal.
