Hey folks, I've recently picked up an oddity which I can not explain. using the ipf8400 with manage remaining roll on OR off when I load a roll of lyve canvas and select the lyve paper type it spits out an extra 8" of canvas and will not let me spool it back in. I now have a monster white space at the lead of the first print. subsequent prints are fine. The not so polite cannon tech swears that this must be a setting in my plugin which is stupid because the plugin on the computer has nothing to do with loading the paper. I've never previously had this problem and I don't have it with any of my other media types. I've also never encountered a rude canon tech before.
any insight on what to check or what it making this happen? the extra media is spooled off on the loading of the canvas and has nothing to do with any print jobs.
