Question about Lee 10 Stop Filter

Hello,

I am aware that the Lee Big Stopper will have some color cast with long exposures, have seen it and don't mind since most of what I have been doing is about 30-45 seconds and monochrome. I was experimenting with longer exposures in color up to 5 minutes and see a serious purple color cast. I was wondering if this is also to be expected or is it perhaps more apparent due to the blueness of the ocean in the attached image --- 3.5 minutes, f/8, ISO 400 on a Nikon D7100, 24-85mm @ 28mm.

This is a known 'characteristic' of the BigStopper. Lee advise a WB setting of 8000-9000 Kelvin with the BigStopper. If you're using RAW adjust the WB in post. FYI, the B&W 10-stop does the opposite - it 'warms' the image (the Lee 'cools' it).
