I'm still waiting for "shutter shock" to appear in a tripod-mounted A7r photo. (Camera, not lens, mounted on tripod.) Hasn't happened yet. I do need to use faster Tvs relative to other cameras when handholding, but this is due mostly to the Sony's lack of mass and the sensor's resolving capability.

I'm all for putting PD-AF on the sensor so long as it doesn't supplant CD-AF. I'll take the accuracy of the latter over the tracking ability of the former almost every time.
