Coffee table book pages

We're looking at printing our own coffee table books. We use the ipf8300 and are looking for simplest method with good quality. Currently we sell the ones from www.whcc.com and they are nice but expensive. I kinda like the books from adorama.com too. Any success stories out there?

I was hoping that people with more experience than me would answer so I could learn a bit more.
I think the problem with doing it yourself with an ipf8300 is the softness of the prints due to it being a pigment ink process.

I have done a few photobooks for clients but I would never think of printing them on my Z3100 as the surface is much too soft for casual handling. I use Pikto.ca in Toronto and I think they are all C-prints.
