CMOS Chip Prices

I'm performing research on DSLR cameras and am wondering if anyone has any information or insight as to the cost of CMOS chips associated with these devices. I have found data on average CMOS chip prices ranging from a few dollars to about $20 per chip, but am wondering if this is a fair estimation for the price of chips used in DSLR cameras retailing for >$1,000.

Any links to information or comments/thoughts on these figures is appreciated.
