Leaf Capture v 11 Bugs!

I've been using the new Leaf Capture v 11 for about two months with the Aptus 75.  So far the capture software is clumsy at best and craps out during multiple processing.  Am I using this unfriendly software incorrectly?  The online help is a joke, poorly written instructions.  The file naming protocol is weak / lame.  Are any support services from Leaf online?  Apparently I have to contact the vendors of the system ... not a good idea.  The stores don't have that much time to deal with support issues and the interruptions.

File renaming is a problem indeed, but I find the software to be VERY stable even the alphas and betas I ran for PC.
What's the EXACT problem you have ?

And are you running PC or Mac ?

Although I've been shooting with the Leaf for years, 99% of the stuff is processed through Raw Developer.  Since I do studio still life all this talk about a bizillion files needing to be pushed through with multiple formats, name changing etc etc is not of importance to me.  At the end of the day, I have a couple to maybe ten files to contend with.
But I understand there's a need for it in other types of photography.

Leaf has a forum for answers like yours but there is not a lot of traffic.  They have been good recently about providing company answers to questions posed to them directly though.

I'm using a MacPro on OS 10.4.11, everything seems fairly stable.  Stuff shot at the studio is typically still life.  I need to email out preview images to art director/designers during the shoot.  So the files need to be processed through out the session without needing to adjust the names through a secondary application.  The workflow is not stream line and simple to deal with the different scale of work.  It is clumsy in comparison to the Capture One application, but due to management's decisions I have to use the Leaf.  
So is there a better instruction manual out there for the Leaf Capture?  Or do I have to write one up for the rest of the staff at the studio?

You can't use the Large jpgs that are generated with each exposure?  They are located in the LeafDB folder that is created each time you begin to shoot to a new shots folder.

I don't know about that, when I want JPEGs I let the program make them in the Batch.
The DB folder is I think for previews, but to be honest I never looked at it.
I never use JPEGs, all my conversions are TIFF.

File naming is a problem and has been for ages - I honestly do not understand why Leaf didn't fix it for v11.1 - I mean, we've only been nagging you about it since v10, Leaf. How hard can it be? Seriously, it's a royal pain in the arse.
Sort it out please. Quickly.


Aside from that, I'm very happy with 11.1. Overall it's an excellent easy to use, stable software (also, a lot of my clients like it to, esspecially the new compare feature).

I only mention that because it seemed to me that OP needed to send intermediary Jpgs to the powers that be.  As sort of a "Here is where we are...what do you think, where should we go from here".  As in when the AD is controlling the shoot remotely and wanting to see progress polaroids.

Of course no one uses those preview Jpgs for any finished product, it's just for FPO so to speak.
