Mamiya ZD back, use on view cameras

Does anyone know if the ZD back has the capability to be used independent of the 645AFD cameras?  With external triggering such as on view cameras, such as the Bicam, or Cambo Wide DS?  I see, per the Mamiya website, that they had planned to offer that as of early 08.

To the best of my knowledge, it is not possible yet, it is still a promised feature, but no word on when it might happen. But there is some hope in that they have been slowly but steadily releasing accessories and updates like updated lenses, and perhaps a very hopeful indicator that view camera compatibility might come soon is the recent release of the RB67 adapter.
