Managing a X2D II in Hokkaido in January 2026

Guys I’m really excited about my up and coming trip to Hokkaido in January 2026. My camera gear is the Hasselblad X2D II along with 3 x lenses the ;
XCD38:2.5v
XCD 90:2.5v
XCD135:2.8 with a 1.7 TC
3 x Batteries
KASE magnetic filter system

According to previous weather forecasts it going to be bloody freezing so I want to make sure that I have all bases covered. I’ve read on the web about potential condensation getting into the camera gear when moving from cold to warm hotel rooms so I will be taking ziplock bags to hopefully prevent this happening.
What other things do I need to be aware of regarding this trip?

I have found that my Nanuk hard case is good at preventing condensation when I go in and out of various environments. The trick is to let things come up to temperature slowly. I have had the Hassy in the cold a number of times and no problems so far. Enjoy Japan, one of my favourite urban places to travel, if you visit a Yodobashi camera store, maybe they will have a bunch of Hasselblad lenses to try out. I never left Japan without acquiring some new camera gear....
