I never did believe that Kodak would actually abandon Kodachrome; I was mistaken, and my poor old freezer carries the burden of preserving this material forever.

Nobody would let me use the 200 ASA stuff for their calendars, though, which was a shame.

Anyway a sort of salute to it, ironically enough, via an iPhone. I wonder if the venerable F3 will ever be used by me again this time around. If not, I know where the goodies are for the next time!

Just discovered this now. A hero gone.

Thank you for all the wonderful photographs you gave us throughout your career.

You were a shining example truly impossible to match; you just owned that style.

If memory serves, the last lab processing Kodachrome stopped doing so a few years ago. Sigh....

Kodachrome (Movie)

We watched this movie a year or so ago on Netflix - I believe it's still available on the UK site, not sure about other Netflix sites. Amusing, worth a watch, brought back memories of our use all those years ago.

Not many photographic products get films and songs written about them.

Cars do better. Cadillacs aside (they’re probably ahead by miles), maybe next in line might be the Oldsmobile Rocket 88? The surf crowd wrote music about cars, but what the eff is a little deuce coup - a converted Ford? Wait, let me consult Dr Google: yep, a ‘32 Ford.

I wonder if car culture is almost exclusively a male thing? We don’t seem to hear many women going on about them, but that doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy driving good ones.
