Lightroom's selection tools

I am used to make my selections in Photoshop by hand, but LR has some AI tools that can save a lot of work;
However, like with most of these fast tools it is seldom perfect- it usually works as long as you use a small copy for the web.

Here is a result of some of the tools;
at 100% it is really ugly

maybe it was my bad use or the fact that I don't use the latest version. ( my computer stops at Monterey 12) 
but you better check what comes out.
In this case i prefer more work in photoshop, but resulting in a more perfect outcome.

In Lrc you paint a selection using the Adjustment Brush tool if you don't wish to use AI.

Add, subtract and intersect-with, are your friends here using luminance and color range.  Subtract object also works well in some situations to refine masks.
