Can I really learn "The truth about raw processors: which one actually performs best for real-world photography?" in a 13-minute and 6-minute read?

I think the articles are good. In Part 1, Terry writes,

I edit only enough to breathe life back into the machine image—to re-create my experience and my vision in the field."What are you looking for? In the end you are probably comparing the image with your memory, which may be different to that of other people. What are you going to do with the image; web, book, print, size, intended viewing distance, etc, etc.
Sharpening and Denoise are described in the articles. Sharpening is often to taste, but it is possible to over sharpen. Like Terry, I find LR Denoise good and try it for any ISO over 640, always looking at the before and after panels in LR to see if the result is an improvement for me.
All of this is heading towards my opinion that much of this has large components of personal preference and the intended use. I will often toy with masks as well as macro slider adjustments to get an image with which I am pleased.
To me the articles are a prod to look at what I do, but I am usually happy with what I can achieve in LR, and I continue to learn more. Others may have a different personal view. I do not think there is any single 'best' process.
