Calibrating Eizo, MacBook Pro, and Profiling for Print

I have an Eizo CG247X and a brand new fully loaded MacBook pro. I would like to calibrate so that my prints match what I see on the Eizo. I also am often doing color work (albeit not final work) on the road. I'd love for everything to align as closely as possible.

I'd love to learn more about doing this. Any links to excellent tutorials would be appreciated.

I have a few questions... should I purchase the calibrite hardware? Is that the optimal option? Is the internal calibration on the Eizo as good or better?

I print on an Epson SureColor p20000. Generally use Canson Platine and Hahnemuhle Baryta.

Another odd Mac note: Every once in a while, maybe once or twice a year, the color hues on my Epson 3880 prints suddenly don't match my Eizo monitor. "It were fine last week/month, but today the hues are off." Restart the Mac before launching into an full scale investigation of profiles/calibration, etc.
