Approaching storm and last light pano
« on: November 19, 2024, 05:51:39 pm »

Just made it here for the last minute or two of this light and then a very grey sunset. But the light was sublime.

Excellent lighting contrast (to the dark skies beyond)

Reminds me when I was last there, rolled into Gunny, went straight to those hills with a storm coming in and this Arizona desert idiot didn't bring a sweatshirt or anything (other than a heavy jacket), too cold to ride.  (started raining too.)

My wife is getting annoyed at my ever growing sweatshirt collection (because I keep buying more on the road).

Yeah you have to be prepared. I ride with a pack with some extra clothing and a hat & gloves in shoulder seasons.
Even then I get a weather beat down every now and then.
Speaking of which it is supposed to hit zero tonight.

The razing light is perfect for those boulders and the heavy sky complements the scene.
