Hi, fortunately your paper type preset should still be there because there is really no way for it to disappear (other than by deliberately deleting it from HP Colour Centre). Custom papers types don't show up in the normal paper categories like "Photo Paper", "Fine Art", etc. They usually end up in something like "Custom Paper" or "Additional Media", so it's easy to miss.
Check for it on the printer's front panel and it should under one of those extra folders. That means it's in the printer.
Next in HP Colour Centre go into Paper Preset Management and run Syncrhonize Paper Types. That will ensure that your computer/driver has the same paper types list that's in your printer. After that you should be able to see your custom paper type in the print driver list, and can select it, your ICC profile, etc.
I've noticed when creating new paper types in HP Colour Centre, it seems it doesn't always update the paper types list on the computer for the driver. Photoshop often gives me an error message telling me that my new paper type doesn't exist in the driver, and I need to synchronize them.
