Image stacking for larger prints
« on: July 26, 2023, 02:29:16 pm »

Ive been trying this image stacking technique linked below but my results seem worse than simply increasing image size or using super resolution.

Am I doing something wrong or is software better than this diy 'pixel shift'

If you just take three slightly overlapping photos for panoramic stitching, you can at least double the resolution capture and it just works.
I too was once curious about pixel-shifting, but find it unnecessary given the simplicity and much higher efficiency of panoramic stitching.
