Lumminar Neo: Parorama Stitching (mini review)
« on: July 20, 2023, 05:21:05 pm »

"Today" an update for Luminar Neo became available that included panorama stitching in its set of extensions so I thought I'd give it a try. It's a long way off the market leader (PTgui) and probably sits somewhere between Lightroom and Capture One in terms of reliability of the final product.

Some of the problems with Luminar Neo's panorama stitching:
- cannot deliver a straight horizon at all times
- has difficulty with image boundaries
- does not have a "whole picture" view of what the color of the final image should be

It does have more panorama projection settings than Lightroom, which is behind all the others now in that space.

Screenshots attached and there are some horror stories here.

Your post reminded me that the other day I used the PS beta's Generative Fill to repair one of my own done-in-PS pano's. Here's a quick repair of your first one.
