Cool! I have yet to capture a lightning in a shot.
I was in the same boat, Armand, and sadly passed on many candidate images. I have attached the "unmolested" DNG, which was disappointing because it appeared at first glance that my trigger finger had been a tad too late. The structure of the lightning bolt did not appear until I had reduced exposure in LR to -3. The rest of the image is, as they say, history. If you have any raw files that look like this, perhaps they are recoverable. Of course, this only applies to a D850, but I think you are a Nikon shooter no? I suppose it could work with any camera. Hope this is an encouragement. By the way, I am enjoying my new computer build inspired by your experience recorded here a few weeks ago.
PS Thanks for all the nice comments, guys!
