Unbelievable. Makes one wonder about recruitment criteria, but having said that, who'd want the job in the first place? Glad some do, but perhaps there need to be more personality tests to weed out the opportunist bully.
They do say that wearing a gun brings with it a sense of power... and from the other way of looking at it, what use is having a policeman not armed well enough to make him the winner in a violent situation?
