Thanks, really enjoyed that. My girlfriend is Finnish. she agreed with the hockey and ski jumping comments.  I also work with and have Swedish, Norwegian friends, so from an outside observer, the stereotypes of the 4 groups were funny and well done.. Just to be pedantic, Finland is a Nordic country, not Scandinavian

Thanks, I didn't appreciate the distinction. I have several Finnish friends from my automobile rallying days and I spent a week in Finland once on vacation. There's lots to like about how they organize themselves. Except for the difficult to learn language, I could live there.

The humour of the film makes a change from the dark gloom of Jo Nesbo novels.

Just in case you happen to enjoy Scandi-noir, I can recommend the Icelandic crime author Arnaldur Indridason. He writes a series about a detective Erlendur. He has also written many stand-alone novels. Erlendur makes Wallander seem like the life of the party, so that's a warning about what to expect.

I've worked with and hosted foreign exchange students for 30 years - high school kids on full year USA exchange. When they first arrive they are imprisoned in a hotel conference center for a day of "orientation", where some old women lecture them on American culture before they are released to their host families. I spend that day providing photo coverage. Sometimes I'd try group photos by region. All the Asians, all the Western Europeans, all the South Americans, etc.

One year I called for all the Scandinavians. The Norwegians and Swedes came forward, but a lone girl from Finland held back. She proudly and defiantly said, "I'm not Scandinavian." The Norwegians and Swedes voiced strong agreement. Many of the other kids expressed suprise. Seems that most, including me, had thought Finland was Scandinavian. The Norwegians and Swedes spent the rest of the day practicing social distancing from the Finn. We all learned a lesson and I quit doing such group shots after that.
