Shooting into the sun

I like to shoot into the sun and also I like starbursts although it may be used too much.

Here is a shot from the Dolomites of the church at Colle Santa Lucia and with the sun just peeking over Monte Pelmo.

This is shot with the Canon 5DSR and the Canon 24-70 f/2.8L II lens.



and here is a shot from Val di Funes on the way down from an overview at sunset.

This is shot with the same camera and lens combination.

The light is exceptional on both. They are different (grande vista vs intimate landscape) but both equally nice.

Beautiful!  The Colle Santa Lucia is a few hours from Aviano Air Base, where I was stationed at in the late 90s.
