Adjustments clipboard use ?

Whenever I go to the adjustments clipboard, select what I want copied (like WB, Color, exposure, highlight recovery, etc) and press 'Copy' it wipes out my choices and reverts to some preset (from where?!) deciding what I want copied. Nope.

How do I permanently set the clipboard to copy & paste what I want, not what it wants?!

Hi

When I use it, I press the Copy button first and it picks up the adjustments from the primary selected image. I can then untick the ones I don't want, then apply the ones I do.

thanks, but it seems to not copy that much when I do that, like refusing to collect the WB settings.
weird, never used to have this proble.

Is it set to only copy anything changed from default/original values?

Yes it only copies changes. If your WB mode is 'Shot' it won't lift it. So I can see a problem if you have six photos and you want to copy the 'best' as-shot WB to the others. You can work around it by changing the temperature of that shot by one degree (C1P will jump from Shot to Custom) and then copying that.

The answer to this specific question is to click the [...] in the top right of the adjustments clipboard tool and uncheck "AutoSelect Adjusted". Then check all the boxes you want it to copy (presumably you don't want it to copy/apply ALL adjustments which would include ratings/color-tag/metadata/rotation/orientation etc).

We cover more advanced workflow questions like this in our Capture One Masters Program. The longer answer is that I doubt disabling this option is the fastest workflow for what you're trying to accomplish. But it will, as you ask "How do I permanently set the clipboard to copy & paste what I want, not what it wants?!"
