Title: Field of violets
Post by: Bob_B on April 27, 2015, 07:37:43 pm
While hunting insects for macro photos, I couldn't resist capturing the numerous violets that thrive in my gardens. They're a nuisance, but pretty. C&C welcomed. Thanks for looking.

THey are not a nuisance, they are a feature, unless you want perfect lawns. I like the photo.

Thanks for the comments.

Nancy: Yes, I guess 'nuisance' is too strong a word, as I like them especially when in bloom. Don't worry, they've got a firm grip on sections of my garden. So, they're not going anywhere soon.

I love the contrast between the luminescent violets and the greens. The diagonal from the bottom right with this large patch of violet to the top left with the small flower is quite pleasant to my eyes.
