Well, spring on the Great Plains of North America. Look elsewhere for green.
Suggestions welcome.
-
excellent also the choice of more ground on the third. I like them much, particullary because the softness and the natural appeal of colours and tones.
All the best,

Very good set. I think the first two work very well together, same format and similar ambiance.

We feel the atmosphere ;)

I really like number two, but all are very nice. They all look as if they'd work very well as monochrome photographs too

For me, "Cemetery" is the most evocative, but would need a very large print to do it justice as the human elements are so small.
Is there any more foreground? The sliver certainly adds to the dominance of the sky, but is, perhaps, a bit thin.
Also, do you have a composition with the church more to the left? That would move the focal point more off centre to help with the overall dynamic.

+1. I like the mystery in photo #3 and the grandeur in the first two.

Thanks for the comments.
The cemetery composition is a little weird because that church-like building is actually a small tool shed. I wanted to frame it differently but the light was fading rapidly. I agree about the foreground. It is cropped tight because of a wetland in front, but maybe i can deal with it, as well as the framing of the church, in post.
Isaac, those bright spots are holes in the roof, might be worth cloning out.
Lastly, apologies for the crappy processing of the horizon in Archery. One of these days i will learn to see these problems before posting. ::)

#2 is a fantastic image/ composition. I'm sure it would look great as a very large wall print.
-
Splendid imagery. But #2 is very special.

I agree.

#2 Stands out for me. :)

Thanks, guys. And I DO take the comments seriously. I looked at #2 again with more foreground but I think the extra complexity of that foreground detracts.

...I think the extra complexity of that foreground detracts.
Nope :)
-
Doesn't detract imo. A good sky or sunset benefits from a good foreground and the second image is better.
-
Nope :)
I'm with Slobodan and Stamper. The foreground adds considerably and doesn't detract at all.

Something about the moderate tones attracts me to all these photos.
-
OK! Perhaps the perfect (the uniform foreground I want) should not ruin the good (a foreground distraction, in my mind).
Something about the moderate tones attracts me to all these photos.
Moderate? Of course, these are all from Canada.
If that's ok with you. ;)
