Some more subtle shots from Virginia Lakes & Minaret

Good set. IMO:
#1 - like the contrast between the lit and unlit faces of the mountain (or warmth vs. bluish cold).
#2 - good pano
#3 - looks like a rendition of Martian landscape (red planet shot through a blue filter sort of...). Not sure if it works for me.
#4 - like the layers of light, works every time.
-
#4 is a sure winner, imho. #1 is a close second, although I might have chosen to emphasize more ground and less sky, if given the choices. #2 is too dark for my taste, but the composition is nice. I'm not too keen on #3, but that may the fault of my uncalibrated monitor rather than your photo.

I'm a big fan of the 3rd, really well captured and processed for me.

I agree, three is the most interesting, even if I don't have any idea how it was done.

Number 3 for me as well. I like the implied motion and unusual look.

#3 is just an infrared rendering. To do this you select "adjustments" in photoshop, then channel mixer, check the "monochrome" check box, take green up to 200%, blue down to -200%, constant to maybe 8%, and add noise to taste. Here is the original in color.
