Title: 11880 leaking
Post by: little boxes on March 20, 2015, 11:23:20 pm
i have an epson 11880, changed the head about a year ago. printer was fine with no warning signs then started leaking from the head area or maybe the damper.

thinking it may be pressure and not the damper as more than one colour is leaking.
two of the "bags" in the damper assembly are full and more inflated than the rest.
haven't taken the head off to have a look yet.
anyone else have this problem?
any advise would be great. thanks

First of all I will recommend that you take down the useless poll. It's not structured properly and makes no sense. Second, you should replace the dampers. There are filter screens in them that are quite likely clogged. I would replace all of them if going to the trouble of doing one pair. Third, welcome to LuLa.    - Jim

So you changed the head yourself and now it's leaking?
