Is it safe to use two head extensions cables in a row on the same head? Anybody see anything wrong with doing this?
I need to place a light really high up and it would be easier to have the cord extend down to ground level. I would assume it is not a problem, but you never know.

Hi Joe,
I've used multiple extensions on Pro5's and Acutes without any problem aside from the loss of bang from each cable.
Love your work...ak

Ive done that a lot of times and have had zero issues. Im pretty sure there is no light power output loss but I havent tested for this.

How long do you need to go? You can use some of their longer extension cables (they come in a 16' or 32' variant, for example, depending on which head and pack you have.)

This is why I love my D1's... no power loss through stingers :)
Head extension cables always diminish your output. Some brands are more efficient than others. No safety issues, tho.

You can do it. Profoto says you lose 1 stop for each extension….

Thanks everyone. I was not aware that you loose power by using an extension (even though I have used them in the past).
Now back to watching Mother Nature laugh at us by having it snow on the first day of Spring.
