Thanks Valerie for the honest, personal and enlightening article.

Absolutely!
When you mentioned " instances of pure spontaneous joy," I knew you had found your answer.
Beautiful work, beautifully described. Thanks for the gift.

Thank you very much Chuck and Eric! Appreciate the kind words!

Valerie, nice essay...but you did say that Kev warned you :~)
LuLa is an interesting place frequented by all kinds but primarily people who share a love of photography and they collectively have excellent taste. It's nice to run across somebody who can both shoot and write!

Thanks for the excellent piece, and keep up the photographic journey.

Thank you Jeff!! Yes, he did warn me :-) Strangely this second article has generated an even larger response and the feedback from the Luminous crowd and been extremely kind and generous. This time, I'm a bit more prepared for the Luminous landslide :-)
Thank you very much Paulo!

So Peter Lik had better watch out! ;D

Beautiful images, Valerie. Always nice to see someone successfully pursuing their Muse. Your images certainly reflect your reflections on life. Continued success on your journey...
A special thanks to Kevin for exposing us to your work. I've been following your blog since Kevin's first article and am happy to see your follow up article on Life After Luminous.
Take care...

Well, I don't know either person, but my impression is that Valerie and Peter Lik could not be more different. It is my feeling (maybe unjustified) that Lik is cynically commercial, whereas Valerie follows her heart. I know who I admire more.

But you clearly have a soul, Valerie.
I'm not so sure about Lik. And I don't know where he could buy one either.
