We've had some unseasonably warm weather so I went for a camping trip out to the Owyhee Desert near the Idaho/Nevada border. It's some very remote country, but people did (and still do) live there....although it's a hard life. This old homestead is from the early 1900s. Although it's been abandoned for a long time, it still stands, a monument to the hardiness of the people who built it.

Fine document and homage.
