Title: how to not move a virtual copy to a collection
Post by: pcgpcg on February 16, 2015, 11:45:24 am
How do I put a photo in a collection without bringing its virtual copy along? I created a virtual copy of a photo and processed it differently. When I move the original into a collection the virtual copy goes along with it. If I delete the copy from the collection the original gets deleted as well. I want to save what I've done to the copy, but I don't want it in the collection I've moved the original to.

To put a photo into a collection, you drag it and not the VC. In other words, it works as you think it should. Maybe watch more carefully what steps you are taking and which items are selected?

Yes, now it's working. For some reason when I thought I was doing that before the copy was getting moved as well. ???

Paul,

Most likely you had both photos selected. This will put both in the collection and remove both from the collection.

Easy to do and not notice.
