Title: WACOM cintiq 12wx color calibration
Post by: DougJ on February 12, 2015, 04:04:20 pm
I've been using a cintiq 12wx for some years, and using the factory settings and the provided calibration file.

I recently purchased a SpyderPro4 and thought to calibrate the cintiq.

In trying to perform the calibration I've come to see that the cintiq offers a backlight adjustment as well as a brightness adjustment, and of course other adjustment options.

My question is this: what role does adjusting the backlight play in the calibration process?  Should I simply start by adjusting that to eyeball satisfaction: knowing that the screen at max is 180 cd/m^2, perhaps reduce this to 50 %, and then continue with Spyder workflow.

TIA for any advice on this matter.

Ciao,

Doug
