Another shot from my trip to Torridon in Scotland for some winter weather...

I've just pulled together a gallery of tree pictures of mine and I would be happy if I've had this one in my collection. Well done.

very good composition, colours and tones.
Only, IMHO,  background (gorgeous) has higher sharpness than the pine.

Hi Sandro, not sure why the background appears sharper as it is not been process differently to the foreground, except a very small amount of clarity over the tree and background.  It could appear sharper due to the foreground being hit by very strong winds blowing left to right, so maybe that is looking softer due to movement of the foliage?

I think you are right, the fact is the moving leaves.
If you were a painter (or an heavy PP photographer) you can make the leaves steady and 100% sharp!
 ;)let me joke, I observed this aspect only because I like the image.
