Iconic mountain (http://blog.parrikar.com/2015/02/09/sellandafjall/) in the Mývatn area of Iceland.

Absolutely stunning! Wonderfully processed and presented.

Wonderful. Almost like an Ayers Rock (Uluru) with snow!

This was my first thought… The dark mood makes it even more mysterious and I like the clouds [or fog] that lingers on top of the mountain.

Wow!
I'm so used to expecting sumptuous colors from you, Rajan, so this is a stunning treat!
-
Eric is spot on.

A lot of us are thinking the same thing. I don't know how often that mountain looks like this, but I suspect that you caught it at a rare, wonderful moment.

I think Rajan spots scenes like this one because he spends about 300 days per year in Iceland. He also spends another 300 days each year in Goa, and I think another 300 days in or near Death Valley. The rest of the time he's on vacation and just rests. :D

Oh yes, that is a wonderful shot. I totally agree with all of the comments regarding the processing and presentation.

Thank you very much, gentlemen.
That the shape has a likeness to Uluru hadn't occurred to me.
Eric - the timing was sheer luck, but then, as the eminent philosopher Woody Allen has observed, "80 percent of life is showing up."

Woody is right. You were there at the right moment, and you also remembered to have your camera with you (and hadn't left it in Death Valley). ;)

I like how the foreground provides a natural contrast with the subject.
